Essential Geospatial Skills for Students and Researchers
I published a short video with an overview of the modern geospatial technology landscape and my recommendations on the key skills that you must acquire to be successful in the geospatial industry.
Featured: Geospatial Python Tutorials
The Python geospatial ecosystem is fast evolving. To help you practice and master these technologies, I have started publishing detailed video tutorials on Pandas, GeoPandas, XArray, STAC, and more. You can check out the GitHub repository for the links to the Colab notebooks and videos. You can also subscribe to our YouTube channel for new tutorials.
Automating Geospatial Analysis with QGIS
Let’s Talk Spatial hosts a monthly meetup at Bangalore, India and I was able to make it for the March 2023 meetup. I gave a talk on all the ways you can leverage QGIS for automation - Processing Tools, Modeler, Command-line Tool, and Python. The talk was live-streamed and recorded. Check out the presentation with all the materials and video recording.
We ♥ QGIS!
My company, Spatial Thoughts, recently became a sustaining member of the QGIS project. If your organization uses and benefits from QGIS, please encourage them to become a member and support the project.
I will also be at the QGIS International User Conference 2023 in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands giving a talk and a workshop. This will be a great opportunity to connect with the QGIS community. Do check out the program overview and buy tickets if you are able to attend.
